(April 27, 2018) Parent Promise of Oklahoma City is pleased to announce that the Arvest Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant for in-home and family focused programs that assist vulnerable parents in providing a loving, safe and nurturing environment for their children.

“Arvest Foundation provides grants to outstanding charities that are doing great work to improve our local communities,” said Naccaman G. Williams, director of the foundation.

This year, Parent Promise is celebrating its 30th anniversary of providing in-home parent education and support programs to families with children 0-12. The organization provides trained parent educators to work one-on-one with families on child development, basic baby/child care, child behavior management, family goal setting, home safety and school readiness.

“We work with families to help put them on a course for success in life by delivering the tools they need to raise their children in an environment that allows for proper developmental, emotional and physical growth,” said Sherry Fair, Parent Promise executive director.

“We are grateful for the support of the Arvest Foundation and its willingness to partner with us in our mission,” Fair said.

Through its grant program, Arvest Foundation helps worthwhile charitable activities in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.
