April is a time for action on behalf of children and families. One way we are asking everyone to draw attention to the efforts in Oklahoma to prevent child abuse is by participating in Wear Blue Day or Casual 4 Kids on April 7.
Casual 4 Kids is a special project of Parent Promise that raises funds so we can continue to deliver parent education and continue our advocacy work that saves children from neglect and abuse. Special blue t-shirts have been designed and are available for $10-$12. We encourage people to go Casual 4 Kids on April 7 by purchasing the t-shirts and wearing them that day. T-shirts are available by calling Cindy Allen at 405-232-2500, ext. 103.
For those who can’t wear a t-shirt to work, we ask that you prominently wear the color blue that day. You could wear a blue tie or shirt or jacket, or ladies could wear a blue shirt or dress. We hope to see the state of Oklahoma wearing blue in support of Oklahoma’s children.
